Maintain a positive working relationship with Getman Corporation employees to ensure a cooperative and productive work environment.
Perform quality checks at the brake press, machine shop, and saw to verify that the correct material was used and the parts are within the tolerance stated on the drawings.
Verify through physical measurement that major weldments are tacked and welded according to print
Complete and submit a Defective Material Report for any parts not meeting the dimensional and/or material requirements of the drawing.
Verify parts at tack, weld, and blast room.
Verify incoming purchased supplier parts are properly built to blueprint, properly completing all aspects of incoming inspection.
Work with Quality Control Supervisor, Production Managers, and Operations Manager to identify causes of repeated incidents of error.
Work with the continuous improvement team to improve efficiency and quality KPI numbers.
Work with the Quality Control Supervisor to solve issues on the fabrication and assembly floors.
Work with the fitters to design fixtures and streamline fabrication processes.
Provide “one on one’ guidance with welders and fitters to help them improve their skills.
Track errors to provide subjects for Quality meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Manufacturing Engineering preferred
