Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:
Able to use general lab equipment, as required.
The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Require proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.
Education and Experience Required:
Require a high school diploma or the equivalent plus sufficient related experience and/or training to perform the essential duties of the position.
Licensing or other Special Requirements:
Require a valid state Driver’s license and a good driving record.
Ability to frequently lift up to 55 lbs. independently.
Purpose of the Position:
Safely and efficiently test and inspect products. Operate automatic and manual testing equipment, hand tools and instruments, in order to evaluate the properties of the raw materials and finished goods with the goal to assure the quality and reliability of products while adhering to all policies .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate immediately to Operators, Supervisors, or any member of management all circumstances which may affect quality or are considered questionable and unsafe.
Set up and perform all necessary tests and inspections on the raw materials and products at specified stages in production process in order to determine variety of qualities, such as dimensions, performance, chemical properties and other characteristics.
Document data obtained during all quality activities.
Evaluate data to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality activities.
Follow daily production schedule and instructions, organize retain samples, collect and check documents for incoming materials, if applicable.
Participate in all quality activities, such as preparation and testing of lab batches, investigation of non-conformities, evaluation of alternative raw materials, preparation of various certificates.
Communicate immediately to the shift lead person, Plant Quality Control Manager, or any member of management all circumstances which may affect quality or are considered questionable and unsafe.
Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment by properly identifying and storing ingredients, supplies and products as directed and efficiently using various hand tools and equipment such as push brooms, mops, floor sweepers, cleaning chemicals, trash receptacles, etc.
Assist other members of Quality Control as directed by the shift lead person or Plant Quality Control Manager in performing all activities associated with the quality control of products and any other tasks assigned by supervisors.
