Quality Control Technician - 03899 Description
      Tests and inspects fuels and additive products; complies and evaluates statistical data to evaluate and assure quality and reliability of products; performs hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment maintenance of fuel farm/storage and related equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to, consulting with manufacturer or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards and analyzes fuels and/or additives to ensure consistent product quality; selecting and testing fuel/additive products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and/or chemical characteristics; recording test data, and following statistical quality control procedures; evaluating data and writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards; preparing graphs or charts of data or entering data into computer for analysis; performing the duties of a Fueler or Fuel Farm Attendant as needed; conducting work in a safe and environmentally conscious fashion by adhering to all company, industry, local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations and procedures; and the ability to comply with attendance/tardiness standards.

      One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must successfully complete company's Professional Service Training program. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before a diverse group of people; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; perform mathematical skills with regard to weight, measurement, and volume; regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and required FAA, airport, and/or Customs required identification, seals, and authorizations.
