Quality Control Technician Scope of Position This position, under general direction from the QC Manager, performs all aspects of Quality Control for the O&M department. The main focus will be aimed at the turbines in the Midwest and Central Southwest areas.

Working Conditions Quality Control Technicians spend 60% of their time in the field, excluding scheduled training and/or supervisory meetings. Quality Control Technicians work alone and are provided a company vehicle (truck) in which they carry the required tools and parts and may perform inspections and/or repair s on turbines in multiple wind fields on any given day. Generally Quality Control Technicians may work in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities · Perform Quality Control inspections on turbines of all manufactures that EDF-RS maintains. · Perform QC site audits · Quality assurance of incoming materials. · Must be able to effectively use precision measuring instruments. · Ensure that O&M Manual specifications are followed · Ensure that Turbine Manufactures Technical Information Letters (TIL’s) and Service Bulletins are followed · Assist in development and implementation of repair methods, maintenance procedures, etc. · Assist in review and updates of Control and Work Instructions · Replace mechanical components. · Assist and train field crews trouble-shooting hydraulic and electrical errors. · All other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications · Three to five years wind turbine technician experience · Ability to follow instructions. · Ability to work with heights, including climbing up and descending down towers of various heights. · Ability to demonstrate an ability to work with others. · Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including cold, rain, wind, etc. · Able to demonstrate ability to work in a mechanical environment. This may be achieved through formal training or previous work experience. · Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of electricity. · Able to provide proof of a current driver’s license and clean driving record, in order to operate company vehicles (field trucks) both on site as well as on public roads and highways. · Ability to demonstrate good computer knowledge; and experience with Microsoft software, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel and Word.
