Technical and manufacturing support of gearbox rebuilding at GRS Iowa. Key activities shown below. Also includes support of GRS West. Some site travel and travel to the GRS West facility. Other support as additional product lines are established. Must be able to lead teams, knowledgeable of manufacturing principles and design of gearbox's and achieve continuous improvement thru the use of Quality Improvement.
Job Duties include:
Cause of Failure:
Identify the primary part that failed that required removal of gearbox
Ensure that sufficient supporting documents exist to support this to aid in RCA analysis
Document other findings to aid in addressing future failure modes and update the cause of failure tracking database
Provide technical support to shop personnel as required and informally meet with each technician to develop best practices
Work with Fleet Team and GRS Repair Manager to ensure timely resolution
Assist in identifying parts that have been previously identified
Understand the operation of the test stand
Work with technician to develop best practices and develop database of results to permit analysis and identify trends
Develop traveler for each gearbox technology and ensure documents are current
Perform internal audits of work processes and practices as defined in the quality system
Monitor and track results providing feedback to site management
Lead perfect execution of assigned facilities projects
Bachelor's Degree in related field or 2-5 years relevant duties experience and relevant supervisory experience required, if applicable.
