In this role you will:
  • Create awareness of and Adherence to all, Corporate & Site Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Support manufacturing units with preventive and corrective action processes related to both internal and external issues
  • Develop appropriate inspection plans for manufacturing
  • Assist in the performance of Root Cause Analysis
  • Facilitate Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Support Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Facilitate measurement system analysis
  • Assist on development, review and approval activities related to process validations(IQ, OQ, & PQ) and product validations as per customer requirements and ISO-1607
  • Support Quality Management system sections as applicable
  • Track, trend and report quality metrics using statistical tools (Capability, ANOVA, Correlation studies, etc.)
  • Provide support for the implementation and sustaining of statistical process controls (SPC)
  • Provide support to Engineering Change Order process
  • Support quality activities related to documentation controls
  • Assist in supporting quality system audit program and perform internal audits as required
  • Perform other related projects and duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, plus three or more years of Quality Engineering Experience preferred
  • ASQ Certification preferred (Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, etc.) or willing to pursue certification

Skills & Abilities Needed:
  • Ability to effectively develop and perform: Validations, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and Gauge R&R
  • Strong statistical background and working knowledge of SPC software (Minitab preferred)
  • Must have working knowledge of ISO-13485 or ISO 9001 QMSR and FDA Medical Devices Regulations
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Process Engineering, Operations and Product Development departments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be results oriented, multi-tasking, and be able to respond to urgent needs and meeting deadlines
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team
