Reports to the site Quality Manager and is responsible for organizing and servicing the Quality needs of Customers, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering and Sales/Marketing team members.

This front line professional will have direct accountability for product and process quality in a fast paced, customer focused, team environment.

The incumbent will work with a team of operations professionals, utilizing DBS (Danaher Business System) Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing tools, to meet or exceed corporate and customer expectations, while leading key quality and reliability improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

Establish and implement quality practices consistent with operations and customer requirements.

Coordinate quality requirements between manufacturing and engineering to ensure proper launch of new products.

Assist in developing DFMEA and PFMEA for manufacturing processes and new products.

Utilize practical and advanced problem solving techniques to lead team in root cause analysis and resolution of complex quality issues.

Provide Quality leadership to the manufacturing team to ensure customer and quality expectations are met.

Utilize DBS/Continuous Improvement tools to drive continual improvement in Quality metrics and KPIs.

Develop APQP, ISIR, in support of manufacturing.

Assist in the completion of product non-conformance reports.

Provide documentation of root cause and corrective actions for customer complaints.

Maintain regular communication with customers regarding quality expectations and swift resolution of issues and complaints.

Facilitate customer audits of our quality program.

Support and champion ISO 9001 activities for assigned product lines.

Supervise hourly Quality Team members when required.

Manage PPAP qualification and submission process for new part qualification and annual resubmissions when required.

Manage Nuclear safety-related product lines and associated regulatory requirements when required.



Education Requirement:

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in an Engineering discipline from a four-year University.

Required Experience:

Three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Complex problem solving capability and experience.

Experience in managing technical personnel and complex activities.

Desired Experience:

Three to five years experience in injection molding operations.

Certified ISO or other applicable QMS auditor.

Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments and Design for Manufacturing.

Nuclear safety-related product regulatory requirements.

Personal trait profile:

Must be able to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure within changing deadlines and time constraints, while still providing high quality results.

Must be detail oriented, well organized and able to prioritize multiple projects.

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and explain complex technical instructions.

Must be able to work as a member of a team and work well with peers and managers.
