The Playtex strategic business unit, which is a division of Energizer Personal
Care, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of a diverse portfolio of
consumer and personal products. Playtex is focused on Sun Care products,
including Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic, and Private Label brands; Infant Care
products, including spill-proof cups, baby bottles, pacifiers, and Diaper Genie;
Feminine Care products, including Gentle Glide and Sport tampons; and Skin Care
products, including Wet Ones and Gloves.

Primary Purpose of this Position:
• Ensure the quality of products produced at Playtex Business Unitis consistent
with EPC / Playtex Mfg. Inc. Quality standards.
• Ensure the Quality Unit is functioning efficiently by assessing current
processes and identifying ways to streamline or improve.
• Ensure the timely closure of Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA)
investigations.
• Supporting Femcare projects: internal and external.
• Process validation with adherence to 21 CFR 820

Essential Functions:
• Communicates with internal and external customers to resolve quality issues.
• Ability to motivate closure of open Corrective Action Preventative Action
(CAPA) incidents.
• Ability to work with vendors, and cross functional teams relative to line
trials, and problem resolution.
• Oversees non-conformances and deviations to closure.
• Ability to write, review, revise and approve Quality SOP’s.
• Ability to review and approve New Product specifications, Bill Of Materials,
Packaging Assembly Specs, Non Conformance Reports and Deviations.
• Able to facilitate a cross functional team in relationship to quality issues.

Experience/Education Required:
• Technical BS - preferableEngineering or related field.
• Two years minimum experience working in a manufacturing environment in a
quality related field
• Fiveyears minimum experience in an FDA regulated business or ISO: 9000 Quality
System
• ASQ CQE certification or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Process or Packaging validation a major plus.

Skills and Abilities Required:
• Knowledge of CFR 210/211 or CFR 820
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Office
• Problem solving skills, including root cause analysis
• Knowledge of basic statistics and sampling plans
• Ability and willingness to travel, as in the execution of the duties of this
position the employee may travel up to approximately 15%, or slightly more, of
their work time.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time (auditing).
• Ability to travel - ground and air.
