Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years Quality or related Manufacturing experience within a mechanical manufacturing environment.
Must have strong prioritization, organizational and time management skills.
Must possess inspection and manufacturing process knowledge.
Need to have the ability to work individually and as a team member to maintain our high product quality standards.
A SQ certified Quality Engineer.
Experience with APQP, PPAP, 8D, GD&T, Lean, and Six Sigma.
Aggressively drive resolution of FOX production and FOX supplier quality issues by applying problem solving tools, arriving at data driven conclusions, and supporting the implementation of effective solutions. Reduce reject rates by driving process control improvements at the system or part level.
Drive the 8D process. Review responses; communicate deficiencies with suppliers; provide guidance on true root cause identification and effective corrective actions. Drive 8D response improvement.
Monitor FOX’s performance to its customers, and drive continuous improvement activities.
Assist in completing PPAP packages for FOX product delivered to customers.
Review supplier First Article submittals (PPAP’s) for completeness, define scope of FOX verification. Review and communicate technical FA issues with engineers and suppliers.
Monitor FOX’s production metrics and drive continuous improvement through problem solving, Lean techniques, and 8D facilitation. Review post-processing of WIP rejected material.
Review inspection rejections for completeness and accuracy. Drive timely processing of rejection notices through the system via reporting tools.
Assist with training and guidance of inspectors on proper use of measuring equipment and departmental procedures.
Support global supply base development and continuous improvement activities including supplier qualification, on-site supplier evaluations, metrics monitoring, and process troubleshooting.
Review drawings and engineering changes for functionality, producibility and inspectability.
Design and coordinate the fabrication of special gages/fixtures; support new equipment evaluation and purchases. Optimize CMM processes (including programming).
Support the implementation of effective, efficient, and documented Quality Systems throughout the company compliant with ISO 9001. Develop/update and implement Quality procedures and forms, including training.
Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for established Quality reports including Discrepant Material, Cost of Quality (CoQ), Supplier Report Cards, First Pass Yield, and System Audits.
