Job Purpose: The Quality Engineer is responsible for the identification, prioritization, coordination and completion of projects related to quality assurance and continuous improvement that ensure product compliance to applicable specifications. Furthermore, the Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the applicable systems required for the business to be registered for appropriate Quality Standards.

Essential Functions:
1. Implement and maintain a robust and documented quality assurance program to ensure product consistently meets specs. Determine efficient inspection, analytical testing and data collection procedures. Deploy metrics and SPC to ensure pre warning of out of control processes occurs prior to the manufacture of non-conforming materials. Increase customer satisfaction by owning and driving corrective actions to closure in collaboration with manufacturing support teams and operations. Implement a robust internal process auditing program to ensure compliance to control plans, housekeeping, etc 80%

2. Provide Quality team representation of strategic product qualifications, engineering and development projects and continuous improvement projects including reporting results to the applicable functional groups. 10%

3. Implement and maintain systems necessary for continued registration to appropriate Quality Standards. Systems include, but are not limited to, Supplier Quality systems, Calibration, Customer Complaint, Corrective / Preventive Actions, Internal audit etc 10%

Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

Hands on experience within a manufacturing business as an engineer with conformity and continuous improvement activity. Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and problem solving techniques. Demonstrated experience in improving yield and reducing customer complaints.

Moderate to advanced knowledge of statistical process control in a volume manufacturing environment. Familiarity with best manufacturing practices

Working knowledge with computers and database management.

Due to ITAR regulations must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Quality, Process or Manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Masters Degree in an engineering / science related field. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Internal Auditor (CQA). Knowledge in SPC, 6-Sigma, Lean Enterprise, Shainin RedX and Minitab. Project Management experience.
