Quality Assurance Engineer I
1) OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
Assures that products and processes conform to applicable drawings, technical specifications, regulations, and customer requirements. May require some travel to customers and suppliers to include extended work days and weekends as needed.
2) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A) Supervises quality assurance personnel.
B) Develops and documents quality assurance procedures.
C) Develops and implements corrective action as required by customers and FAA regulations.
D) Resolves customer quality issues.
E) Resolves supplier quality issues.
F) Supervises the quality system in Manufacturing or the Weber Repair Station.
G) Be familiar with material review board operations
H) Must maintain compliance with SAE, AS 9100 quality management system requirements.
I) Performs other duties as required.
3. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:A) Knowledge and skills:
Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance systems and procedures. Must have the ability to interact with all levels of employees, customers, and vendors. Knowledge of FAA regulations preferred.
B) Education and/or Experience:
BS Engineering degree from accredited university required. Prefer to have three to five years experience in quality assurance, experience in a related field may be acceptable. Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred but not required.
C) Communication Skills:
Must have ability to generate, understand and review written communications and contracts of all types. Able to verbally communicate with all levels of employees and vendors. Ability to master modern communication mediums such as computers, phones, etc.
D) Reasoning Ability:
Must have the ability to work with others and facilitate solving problems working with other organizations.

4) PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors, and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, typing, ten key, fax, copy machine etc. Bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job.
