This position is responsible for managing health care quality improvement activities, including development of processes to implement and monitor intervention methodologies and tools received from customers and managing project activities, motivating, training and directing staff. Ensures contract deliverables are accurate and timely.

Essential Functions:
25% Motivates, hires, trains and coaches employees to meet optimal performance. Conducts performance evaluations providing timely feedback to employees

25% Manages project development activities for quality improvement initiatives. Monitors activities, ensuring results and documentation are complete, accurate and in compliance with customer and company requirements.

20% Develops, trains and implements quality improvement methodologies for internal and external applications. Researches and resolves questions related to quality improvement initiatives.

15% Manages content and or data integrity, feedback and maintenance activities. Ensures accurate information is provided to customers, which may include health care professionals, quality improvement partners and quality improvement organizations (QIO).

10% Ensures development and implementation of marketing strategies are implemented to aid in soliciting facilities to participate in quality improvement initiatives.

5% Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Four year degree in nursing, health care or related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience; 5 years clinical experience; demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and/or certification; 3 – 5 years managing a professional staff.

Positions working on specific contracts may require U.S. Citizenship.

Because of the nature and immediacy of the work, the ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Additional Comments:
10% local and overnight travel.
Graduate degree in health administration preferred.
Experience in a QIO preferred.
Experience in quality improvement management preferred.
Experience in reporting data to customers preferred.
