Quality Inspector
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect product and materials in accordance with engineering drawings, SOPs and Quality Instructions
Evaluate product returns in support of complaint investigations. Document and maintain accurate records of inspection results
Utilize calipers, micrometers and other technical measuring devices to determine product conformance to specifications and end product requirements
Perform and document incoming, in-process and finished product inspection of components, materials and product
Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for corrective action and disposition of product
Provide assistance in the overall implementation and administration of company's quality standards, processes and procedures
Interpret engineering drawings and related documents
Act as backup support for environmental monitoring and water sampling in controlled environments
Qualifications:
Associate degree plus two years relevant work experience in the Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical Industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings, to use measuring instruments commonly used to perform QC Activities and to use a computer efficiently to generate and read computer reports
Knowledge of Quality Systems including QSR/GMP
Familiarity with environmental monitoring and water sampling (TOC, conductivity) is a plus
Ability to apply basic mathematical calculations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel with fine dexterity, occasionally required to use a firm grasp; push/pull
Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
