Currently, AAM has an immediate opportunity for a Quality Leader at our manufacturing facility located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This 100,000 sq. ft. facility produces axles and components on two-shifts for commercial markets.
Ensure and maintain commitment to quality requirements and product integrity through quality systems and processes.
Prepare and manage PPAP and APQP submission, corrective actions and 4 squares.
Work directly with customers and suppliers.
Coordinate and implement related activities with customers, suppliers and on the plant floor.
Quality system and ISO/TS certification preparation and maintenance.
Manage warranty reporting, administration and action items. Participate in warranty parts reviews.
Perform internal audits relative to quality issues and procedures. Develops and tracks corrective actions. Recommends necessary changes to maintain quality standards.
Manage quality of inbound material.
Manage special projects as required- includes manufacturing and process engineering assignments.
High level knowledge of quality processes and procedures alone with hands-on experience implementing quality systems.
Strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility. Demonstrated sense of urgency and commitment to solve issues while enduring product integrity and maintaining quality requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational abilities.
Proficient experience with computers- Microsoft Office software.
5 plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Automotive industry preferred.
College degree or equivalent training preferably in technical area of study such as BSME, BSMET or MSME.
Certified Quality Engineer and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
Working experience as a Manufacturing and Process Engineer highly preferred.
