The Quality Management Coordinator organizes and monitors the quality/resource and performance improvement activities for assigned clinical, support and/or administrative services to assure that these are in concert with both the mission and performance improvement plan of Hospital and Clinics. Responsibilities include assisting the clinical, support, and administrative staff with the identification, documentation and prioritization of all problems and issues affecting the delivery of patient care, and related educational and research activities; selection of diagnoses, procedures, and other health care processes in accordance with demonstrated institutional needs, as well as JCAHO and other guidelines, for peer and process review, at both service-specific and interdisciplinary levels, as necessary and appropriate; assistance with the identification/development of practice parameters. administrative and clinical policies and procedures. and review guidelines; assisting in design and implementation of reliable, valid data collection instruments and monitoring programs, the analysis of data, and the development and dissemination of clear, concise reports for review at clinical, support service, and administrative service/committee/team meetings; and providing guidance on facilities evaluation, corrective and follow-up actions for assigned areas; and participation in development and delivery of didactic and practical components of the program's educational activities.
Bachelors degree in an allied health field, or a suitable combination of education and experience
4 years of professional experience with at least 2 years in quality or utilization management
