Quality Management Specialist
Provides oversight of quality management services to the H.O.P.E (Helping Our Parents and Caregivers Excel) Project by monitoring fidelity to the program model and monitoring outcome data. The Project is an innovative model that integrates needed mental health and substance abuse services with case management, education, and peer mentoring. This position is responsible for team leadership, performance and outcomes related to the project are achieved. This is temporary grant-funded position with the potential for longer.
•Maintains effective mechanisms to promote timely problem identificaation and resolution to assure quality services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner.
•Assure compliance regarding current federal, state, and local laws, contracts, accreditation standards, and policies and procedures.
•Apply critical thinking to create strategies and interventions resulting in measurable increased performance of the project.
•Serve as a member of the Quality Management team to design and implement a quality management system that oversees sampling, satisfaction, data collection, systems analysis, evaluation, and redesign to respond to the requirements of the project.
•Provide effective direction support and technical assitance to the Case Management team to meet performance objectives of the project.
•Create reports and recommendations based on analytical findings, performance outcomes, DCF and CBC reporting requirements, etc., provide leadership to the team in implementing recommendations and then evaluating their effectiveness.
•Participate in reviews and analyses as a subject area expert, serving as a resource to other team members.
•As requested, respond to the quality management information needs of the Performance and Quality Improvement Committee, Eckerd executive leadership team, Stakeholders, QA Licensing group, and other advisory groups.
•Provide up to date information regarding current federal and state rules, contract requirements, procedures, and policies affecting the project.
•Promote and participate in agency-wide continuous quality improvement initiatives through participation in the Performance and Quality Improvement Committee.
•Provide accurate, professional representation of the project, including speaking engagements and other public relation functions, as designated.
•Participate in accreditation maintenance and reaccreditation activities as needed.
•Develop and oversee manual and automated tracking systems associated with area of oversite , in collaboration with data management and technology services.
•Assist the Director of Quality Management Services and the Project Director in analyzing outcome data and prepare reports for submission to the CEOs, Management team and community groups as necessary.
•Provide technical assistance and support for, coordinate, and analyze the results of external monitorings (ie., Department of Children and Families, Medicaid, ASFA, Title IV-E, etc.).
•Report to the Director of Quality Management Services, Executive Director of CBC, DCF, and various groups associated with the CBC, as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in the areas of psychology, social work, or related human service field required. Child Welfare Certification required. Three years of Florida child welfare experience required. Previous child welfare supervisory/ lead capacity experience is preferred.
