LogiCore is currently seeking a full-time Quality Manager in Huntsville, AL.

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the company’s ISO registration and CMMI assessment efforts, including drafting all quality documents, developing corporate policy and practice manuals for each department, coordinating employee training and internal audit team training, representing the company in external audits, and overseeing the deployment and maintenance of the ISO and CMMI processes. Also responsible for conducting internal audits and preparing audit reports. Quality Manager will serve as the leader of the Integrated Process Group (ISO and CMMI efforts combined). Individually responsible for developing a document management system and drafting the corporation’s Records Retention Policy.

Responsibilities: Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality. Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products. Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives. Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize reliability and minimize costs. Create, document and implement ISO and CMMI criteria and procedures. Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within LogiCore. Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes. Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased services and items. Maintain active role on internal Continuous Improvement teams. Design, develop and implement quality control training programs and ensuring that organizational systems and training is in place. Ensure that documentation and design controls are appropriate for organization. Performing internal audits. Preparing organization for ISO 9001 audit. Address non-conformities from previous internal and external audits. Conducting a Management Review of the Quality System. Following-up on and closing pending Corrective and Preventive Action Reports. Administering document control and configuration management system -training. Assisting the management team and provide QA support as necessary. Assist with the professional development of the Quality staff. Reviews assigned staff performance in writing at least annually and recommend salary merit adjustments. Manage and develop LogiCore’s Quality staff. Hire, train, and retain competent staff. Provide training and coaching where/when necessary. Represent LogiCore at meetings and conferences.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, technical, or a business field. 5 years of quality leadership experience. Minimum of 3 years experience in QA/QC management. Proven track record of successful implementation of progressively higher levels of CMMI. Proven track record of consistently successful ISO audits. CMMI and ISO Auditor certifications required; six sigma training and certification preferred. Experience in the management of an ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. Knowledge of test procedures gained from hands on experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to nurture and maintain internal and external relationships. Strong organizational and time management skills. Individual must possess strong leadership skills, be able to motivate and influence others. Individual must be able to think creatively and strategically, have excellent judgment and be able to work in a changing environment. Sense of urgency and ownership regarding role and the needs of the department. Ability to meet deadlines and complete daily activities. Ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
