We are a leader in the plastics tooling industry seeking a Quality Manager with a successful history in the implementation and maintenance of effective quality systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with lean manufacturing and management tools and the ability to maintain an effective ISO9001:2008 quality system.Summary of Responsibilities: Maintain the PCS Company ISO9001:2008 certification including the coordination and administration of external and internal quality audits and ensuring that any and all audit follow-up is successfully completed Oversee all quality and process improvement initiatives and projects throughout the entire organization Participate in supplier quality monitoring and improvement initiatives which will include limited travel to supplier sites; some of which are outside of the United States Manage the PPAP process for all purchased products Develop, implement and maintain inspection and quality control standards for internal manufacturing processes Interface with customers on quality related issues Conduct ongoing internal inspections of manufactured and purchased products as needed Maintain gage calibration program Manage the PCS document control systems for engineering data and internal work instructions PCS Company benefits include medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability, life insurance, paid holidays and vacation, a 401(k) plan and tuition reimbursement.
Summary of Qualifications: Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills Excellent computer and data management skills Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and varied responsibilities simultaneously Education and Experience: B. S. in engineering or related field preferred Five to ten years of quality management experience, ideally in the plastics tooling industry Experience in the plastics tooling industry desired ASQ certification a plus We require a pre-employment drug screening, physical examination and background check.
