The Quality Specialist of Child Care Solutions Programming is responsible for increasing the quality of card in child care settings, with a priority of services being offered/provided to programs that serve children and families receiving Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) funding, and that are of high need.
The Quality Specialist of Child Care Solutions Programming will provide training, technical assistance, consultation and resources to child care providers to assist them in achieving/maintaining federal certification. The Quality Specialist of Child Care Solutions Programming is:
Responsible for providing technical assistance and consultation services, both on-site and via phone or e-mail, to child care providers.
Responsible to assist child care providers as needed in completing an initial program assessment(s) as well as developing and implementing quality improvement plans.
Will work with consultant team members in providing resources, referrals and guidance to providers related to improving quality.
Will conduct assessments of child care programs using specified assessment tools and report results, as required by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS).
Will utilize a data tracking program to record activities with providers and create quality improvement plans.
Will develop, implement, and track an action plan detailing job functions and expectations.
Will participate in community activities including community events, media campaigns, promotional materials, and community presentations.
Will participate in continuing education activities.
Will communicate with impartiality and respect for all parents'/guardians child care choices while responding with sensitivity to families' socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, individual needs and capabilities.
Location: Rockford, IL.
Pay Rate: $13.50 to $15.00/hr.
Type of Placement: Furst-to-Hire.
Shift: Part-time; either 3 days per week (2 8 hour days and 1 4 hour day) OR M-Th 8:30-1:30 . Will also need to attend trainings and/or project assignments on evenings and/or extended schedule.
