Tests and inspects bulk and finished products to assure compliance with specifications and audits products and systems to ensure product safety by performing the following duties.
Examines work orders to determine such information as size, weight of product, code date, special instructions, etc.
Audits products and quality systems to determine compliance with specifications, Sargento's Quality Systems policies, compliance with legal requirements, and conformance to customer specified standards.
Accurately performs laboratory tests as determined by Sargento's Quality Assurance plan.
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Assures that accredited methods are used including calibration and validation of tests and test equipment.
Laboratory or Quality Technician Certificate from college or technical school or two years of relevant experience will be considered.
Proficient computer skills. Proficient with Word, Excel, SAP.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
