The West Hartford division is looking for Quality Technician to provide quality assurance support to the Quality Department. This position will help support the West Hartford Quality Management System by managing the Corrective Action system, FAIRs and Quality Metrics. These duties include but are not limited to: Assist Engineering, Suppliers and Customers with FAIR requirements for all West Hartford Products including tracking, generation, review, storage and retrieval. This includes the preparation of reports and maintenance of the FAIR tracker Database. Assist the business with Corrective Action Reports (CAR) for Internal, suppliers and customers. This includes the generation, tracking, review, storage and retrieval of CARs as a result of QMS audits or as required by the business. This includes the preparation of reports and maintenance of the CAR Database. Manage the collection and generation of Cost of Poor Quality Metrics, providing reports to help the business focus on the correct areas for improvement.
Associates degree in a related field with experience with Quality Basics is preferred. Other skills required include: Understanding of the standards, implementation and certification process of Quality Management Systems such as AS/EN9100, ISO-9001, especially AS9102 or any other industry-specific standard or regulation. Understands problem solving methods – i.e. 8D, root cause analysis, Apollo etc. – and the associated tools used to analyze problems. Understand Corrective Action systems. The candidate should have working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Outlook and Quality Software such as Inspection Expert.
