Quantitative/analytical member of the Model Governance Team. Responsible for regulator-facing governance processes and tools that require both technical and analytical expertise. As the leader of critical regulatory compliance processes and tools, the candidate will work closely with GECC Risk HQ and businesses on issues relating to Model Governance, Deal Pricing and Reserve Setting.
Work with regulators and auditors to gather feedbacks around model governance and design processes and tools to achieve compliance.
Lead communication and collaboration efforts by obtaining senior business leaders' buy-in on critical governance processes and tools.
Pioneer new model validation techniques beyond credit risk models such as reserve setting and pricing models
Develop function specifications for improvements in Risk HQ applications such as CARMA.
Develop database components (data structures and procedures) and establish processes to manage enterprise level data for regulatory compliance purposes.
Advanced degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Economics, physical sciences, or a related discipline with at least 5 years’ experience.
Expertise in databases (e.g. Teradata, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server), database design tools, and data systems.
Experience with statistical model construction and validation

Experience in designing web applications, especially in Java platform is a plus.
Independent research background/publication track record a plus
