The Analytics & Design (A&D) group within Enterprise Financial Crimes Compliance coordinates the Firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) transaction monitoring. A&D is responsible for measuring the effectiveness of monitoring, developing new strategies to identify suspicious and high risk activity, and overseeing the operation of automated monitoring systems.

The Model Risk Management Team aligns dedicated staff within QRT to ensure AML transaction monitoring models and tools are developed and deployed with adherence to the Firm's Model Risk Policy and OCC Bulletin 2011-12. The successful candidate for this Compliance Officer position will work independently to accomplish tasks and goals on a cutting edge quantitative research team.

Provide statistical programming and validation support for QRT's Model Risk Management (MRM).
Oversee and/or coordinate programming activities when necessary to achieve timely progress in the following areas: analysis datasets, statistical tables, figures, listings, and internal/external requests.
Accessing and converting data to SAS from the Database Management System and PC file formats.
Work with MRM and other QRT teams in order to develop or monitor the content and structure of SAS data sets.
Perform ongoing monitoring of AML models and tools.
Populate, update and maintain required documentation (SOPs and other related technical documents) for all AML monitoring models and tools.
Provide access to historic results, datasets, coding, etc, that MRG may require.
Coordinate and/or conduct validation exercises, including evaluation of data and assumptions, testing model computational accuracy, and performing outcomes analysis (such as back-testing and benchmarking). Incorporate feedback from the QRT Threshold Testing Team.
Develop, document, and execute statistical analysis plans, specifications of analysis datasets, validation plans, and other related documents.
Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Decision Sciences. Masters or PhD preferred.
Proven experience with statistical tools (e.g., SAS, STATA, SPSS) and data mining tools (e.g., Business Objects, SAS Enterprise Miner, Brio) and applying them to business decisions.
Proven record to contribute as a strong team player in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, diverse environment while maintaining attention to detail and maintaining quality work.
Applies good judgment and demonstrates initiative to resolve issues.
Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise written work products. Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills needed to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to handle and/or lead multiple projects/work streams with minimal oversight. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities to meet business needs.
Knowledgeable about model risk management and associated regulatory requirements such as OCC Bulletin 2011-12.
Track record of technical model development, model management, and/or model oversight.
Experience with a large banking institution and/or BSA/AML regulations a plus, 2+ years preferred.
Understanding of key AML monitoring systems including, but not limited to, Fortent/Actimize (fka Searchspace) and/or SONAR AML preferred.
