The New York Racing Association, Inc. is seeking a Racing Integrity Veterinarian (Veterinarian). The Veterinarian will monitor the treatment offered by private veterinarians to horses racing at all NYRA tracks, supervise and educate security personnel (Horse Watch Detail) on illegal drugging and provide support with tampering investigations. Reporting to the Vice President of Security, the Veterinarian will consult and advise stakeholders on matters relating to racing integrity and seek to improve industry standards in the prevention and detection of illicit performance enhancing treatments.

Candidates should hold a DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree, a current NY State veterinary license (or eligibility for licensure) and have at least five years of equine experience, including two to five years of industry regulatory experience. The successful candidate will have management experience and thorough knowledge of permissible and prohibited treatments for horses scheduled to race in New York. This position requires working on site at all three NYRA tracks during live race meets: Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park, and Saratoga Race Course.
