Direct patient care position. This position is to perform technical work in prescribed procedures for diagnostic radiographic studies of patients.

High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary, supplemented by satisfactory completion of formal two year radiologic technology training in AMA approved school that meets requirements for registry by the ARRT.Must be registered or be eligible by the ARRT. Employee must show timely progress toward obtaining registration and possess registration within one year of hiring. Registration must be actively maintained.
Completion of an AMA approved program of Radiologic Technology. Two years of clinical experience as a Rad Tech student. Radiologic Technology technical skills, good interpersonal skills. Good guest relation skills. Technical skills to be taught and performed.
Calculate technique factors, x-ray patients properly, monitor equipment and processors, operate MARS computer system, adhere to Radiation Safety devices as outlined by the Internal Commission on Radiation Protection and departmental policies of UHC. Clean x-ray rooms, greet and escort patients to exams.
Operate various imaging equipment in department. Perform diagnostic quality radiographs. Work with various information systems (HIS, RIS, PACS). Demonstrate appropriate customer service skills. Provide basic patient care. Work with various information systems (HIS, RIS, PACS).
