The technologist will assume responsibility for safe operation and use of diagnostic x-ray machines and other imaging equipment; as well as maintain diagnostic imaging quality control. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement and patient care measures as needed. Directly involved in evaluation and recommendation for purchase of radiology equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write and speak English

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

Must be a certified as an ARRT

Satisfactory performance in radiologic special procedures for a minimum of one year, with cardiac experience preferred

Demonstrated competence in cine-film processing, processor maintenance, and radiographic quality control within 6 months of employment

Successful copmpletion of Order Communications class

Able to meet the physical demands as described in the ADA forms on file in the Human Resources Department
