RETAIL ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT (RETAIL & BROKERAGE)
The Retail Account Management Service Associate processes basic client requests in a timely and accurate manner while remaining within legal and FINRA guidelines. The Service Associate is required to be proficient in processing client transaction requests covering a range of product lines and registrations. The Service Associate is generally responsible for processing the New Account and Maintenance skill sets. All associates will operate under the RAM performance agreements, to be delivered at the very beginning of their RAM career and renewed annually.
Production Support: Processes basic transactions in a windows-based workstation in a timely and accurate manner to meet company standards for efficiency and effectiveness:
Reviews transaction requests thoroughly to verify request is in “Good Order”. Actions minimize any legal and/or financial risk to the organization and client.
Takes care to enter all required information correctly – avoids typographical mistakes and omissions. Self-checks all work for accuracy before completing transaction to ensure all requests are processed completely and accurately the first time.
Researches client/account history as necessary to complete production.
Makes outbound calls to clients in accordance with department policies to clarify intent and/or to obtain additional information required to complete transactions, while demonstrating proficiency in communications and client interaction skills.
Proactively manages risk to the firm and to the client by closely following department policies and procedures. Checks with Supervisor for additional guidance and obtains appropriate approvals for any policy variations.
The incumbent should stay current on all policy, procedures, news and current events so that they are better positioned to perform at their best.
Associates may (under direction of Supervisor) participate in short-term department-wide projects. Associates are encouraged to build and maintain positive relationships with internal service groups and externally with customers.
Associates are expected to attend regularly scheduled team meetings and quarterly/annual department level business update meetings. Associates are also expected to support ongoing professional development through continuing education sessions and specific business processing trainings.
Experience working in professional environment
General understanding of the financial industry
High school diploma or equivalent
Customer service experience
Ability to analyze and interpret documentation
Proficiency in Windows applications
