Lead all aspects of a high quality, cost effective audit service delivery program for Finance (90%), HR & Legal. Finance includes Treasury, Liquidity, Capital and CCAR. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to production of a quarterly audit plan, assembling a team to deliver it and preparation of reports and analyses of audit work for the business. The goal is continuous improvement of risk management and control processes, leading to a stronger control environment across Finance, HR & Legal, which translates into fewer control failures and a lower cost of control.

The Audit Partner will deliver reliable audit opinions covering key processes to senior executives across the designated service areas. He/she will contribute significantly to the opinion delivered to the Chief Executives of Finance, HR & Legal and to the Group opinion delivered to the Board.

The Audit Partner will build high impact relationships at senior executive levels across Finance, HR & Legal and ensure that Audit supports the senior executives in achieving their objectives. He/she will attend or represent the Head of Audit at executive management meetings and audit committees as required. He/she will champion continuous improvement of risk management and control processes across the Finance, HR & Legal areas and the Group as opportunities arise.

The Audit Partner and his/her team will be a "center of excellence" for Finance, HR & Legal passing on experience and knowledge proactively for the benefit of the whole department.

The Audit Partner will lead and develop the audit team, passing down day-to-day audit management to the Senior Audit Managers and team leaders.

Requirements

10-12+ years of progressive internal audit/accounting experience within a global financial services organization with a specific focus on Finance (to include Treasury, Liquidity, Capital & CCAR) and preferably HR & Legal as well.

Deep understanding of Finance and related risks within a complex financial services organization.

Experience maintaining high impact relationships with senior executives in global businesses.

Prior senior management and leadership experience within a financial services environment preferably within a highly matrixed structure where planning and strong interpersonal skills were critical to success.

Project management skills to support multiple complex assignments on behalf of various stakeholders.

Strong, well developed communication, interpersonal, team building and organizational skills.

Strong influencing and conflict resolution skills.

Decisiveness and sound judgement on a consistent basis.

Experience delivering difficult messages in a clear and constructive way.

Exceptional learning agility with a keen desire to support the learning and development of others.

Clearly applying Audit's standards for professionalism, allocating responsibilities and managing people.

Responsibilities

Deliverables will include but are not limited to the following:

A quarterly opinion for the division (or a part thereof) which rigorously examines the underlying causes of audit issues and analyses the implications for the business. Opinions and advice are subject to high standards of quality and are completed within prescribed timescales.

Monthly Control Reports and Audit Reports to key stakeholders that add real value to the business.

An Annual Plan that reflects a fundamental understanding of the business and the current and future risks facing it and gives high levels of audit value.

Stakeholder satisfaction reviews and other feedback processes that reflect a high level of audit service and the value that audit adds.

Managing expectations of external Auditors on issues related to Operations.

Leading audits within Finance, HR & Legal in order to manage and deliver: 1) well defined Terms of Reference, 2) support for relevant audit opinion, 3) business and staff expectations and 4) high performing teams.

Assist across Group Internal Audit where Operations or individual expertise is required.

Establishing and operating within agreed budgets relating to the services provided to Operations.
