DeNuke Services is seeking candidates for the following opening:

RCT (Sr, Mid, and Jr)

Location: Idaho Falls
Rate: Unspecified. Plus $3.59 for Health and Welfare

Position Qualifications: Provides work coverage and oversight for maintenance, operational and routine work that involves radioactive materials. Provides monitoring for Radiation, Contamination and Airborne Radioactivity in the work place. Position Responsibilities include: Perform required radiological surveys for free release of material at RBA, personnel surveys for contamination, surveys for contamination control, radiation control, airborne radioactivity control and surveys to categorize waste for shipment. Provide Radiological work coverage, radiological work/practices oversight and mentoring; write radiological control work permits, enforce radiological control requirements , ensure ALARA principles are followed during work and respond to radiological emergencies as required. Survey waste material, excess materials, vehicles, areas and other materials. Maintain proficiency and qualifications through completion of work, self-study and training activities. High School diploma and current DOE core Certification from a DOE facility or Technical College recognized by CWI preferred. Vo-tech certification or equivalent in radiation protection.

Training Qualifications: Subcontractors shall have to meet the same knowledge level and qualifications required of the INL RCT performing the same duties. Subcontractors shall meet the training requirements as outlined below.
1. Prerequisites for an acceptable Subcontractor shall be completion of the DOE Phase I, Fundamental Academics Training.
2. Each Subcontractor shall have to complete Phase I, as applicable, Site Academic Training examinations, within two weeks of arriving at the INL. In addition to the INL-Generic Site Academics training, Subcontractor shall complete the facility Site Academics identified for the facility they are assigned to and other facility-specific training as identified in the facility job analysis.
3. Subcontractor shall be qualified to perform limited tasks based upon the 13 DOE RCT Core Tasks. (Subcontractor is not expected to achieve Senior RCT qualification during their subcontracted technician status and other facility-specific training as identified in the job analysis.)
4. In addition to the DOE Core Tasks, Subcontractor shall be trained and evaluated to perform additional tasks at the discretion of the Facility Radiological Control Manager, therefore allowing the Subcontractor to perform with a limited qualification. Upon completion of the OJT Evaluator and Trainee, and co-signed by the Radiological Control Manager, the Subcontractor is qualified to perform that specific task for the duration of his or her subcontract status.

RCT Travel: Travel Expenses and/or Temporary Living Expenses will not be permitted for RCTs. DeNuke expects RCT candidates to be local.
