The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applications for a full-time position within the Records Section. Major job duties include: extensive data entry of traffic citations, accident and towed vehicle reports, offense and arrest reports by inputting data into the Records Management System while meeting daily, weekly and/or monthly deadlines. Additional tasks include daily written, telephonic, and walk-in customer service requests which includes processing criminal history checks, concealed weapon, solicitor and massage permits; as well as inquiring VCIN/NCIC to complete background checks; fingerprinting citizens and applicants; filing; photocopying and completing forms in reference to criminal history checks, accident and offense reports; applicant must be able to multi-task and conduct all facets of work in a professional and courteous manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma and two years job related experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Must be a US Citizen or 10-year resident of the United States. Successful candidate must pass a VCIN/NCIC written examination and become VCIN/NCIC certified within one year of employment.

POST CONDITIONAL OFFER CONTINGENCIES Selection process includes background interview(s), polygraph examination, and an intensive background investigation.
