Fred Koch and L. E. Winkler formed the Winkler-Koch Engineering Company in 1925 to design and supervise installation of refining equipment. Fred Koch then formed Koch Engineering in 1945. From the initial FLEXITRAY® valve tray, the product line expanded over time to include additional tray designs, tower packings, mist eliminators, and pollution control equipment. Located in Houston, TX, KGLP has an immediate opening for a Refining Applicatons Engineer. This position is primarily office-based, requiring limited long-distance travel. You will collaborate with refinery leaders, engineers and sales professionals to provide strategic support for each operational challenge.

Requirements:
BS in Chemical Engineering

5+ years of experience with at least 3 years in refinery-related service

Knowledge of process simulation sofeware (i.e., HYSIS, PRO II, etc) to model distillation columns

Some local travel with limited long-distance trips

Preferred Skills:
Experience in the design and operation of mass transfer equipment is preferred

Ability to communicate in Spanish (not required)
