Job Accountabilities

CROWN’s Regional Logistics Manager ensures that optimal transportation services and support are provided to the plants and warehouses for their designated plants. Regional territories are based in the U.S. & Canada, associated with the existing Crown plant locations. The Regional Logistics Manager (RLM) will negotiate and maintain transportation contracts and the routing guide rate database, control cost variances, and report discrepancies to management. The RLM provides cost impact analyses and recommendations from the Logistics Department to the CROWN Divisions and Accounting Departments, to include the annual freight and warehouse cost budget preparation to support forecasted customer and replenishment lane volumes.

The RLM is responsible for the development and management of alliances with the carrier base to include all aspects of transportation technology trends, such as TMS load tender, GPS tracing, EDI and other related electronic communications, and freight bill processing compliance. The RLM’s will work with the CROWN Divisions, and will leverage the high-level carrier and warehouse relationships to look for, and analyze, new opportunities to enhance our Logistics network, while meeting or exceeding customer expectations. By designing and executing productivity initiatives that generate cost savings, the RLM champions the value that Logistics brings to control cost and enhance service for the CROWN Divisions.

As a leader within the Logistics group, the RLM is fluent in all Departmental methods, operations’ work flows, and applicable transportation laws. The RLM will train others in the Corporate headquarters and Plant levels, to understand and apply logistics best practices to foster supply chain teamwork.

Job Requirements
Job requires:

- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or related field

- 3-5 years of experience

- Individual should possess a sense of urgency, be customer-driven, and motivated.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, good time management skills.

- Candidate shall have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Organization skills and ability to prioritize work based on customer requirements a must.

- Thorough understanding of analytical tools including Microsoft Excel. Access experience a plus.
