Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort
- Facilitates the efficient operation of the Rehab office by providing day-to-day supervision and leadership. Serves as a liaison between patient and medical support staff. Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills. Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization. Minimum Qualifications or Equivalents
- Works is performed in an office setting. Involves contact with patients. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and subject to interruption. Contact involves dealing with sick people. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending, and stretching for files and supplies. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, operate a calculator, telephone, copier, and other such office equipment as necessary. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in a normal range for telephone contact. It is necessary to view and type on computer screen for long periods and to work in an environment which can be very stressful. Must be able to lift up to 25 lb independently. A flexible work schedule is required.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations
- Education: High school diploma required.
Experience: Minimum of three to five years in medical office practice.
