We are seeking a lab scientist to drive the realization of new product sampling for our advanced materials in Electronics. The position requires a significant amount of hands-on laboratory work as well as the coordination of product safety, analysis, container logistics, and packaging of various chemicals.
This person will work in a lab environment and coordinate closely with an integrated team of scientists, commercial/product managers, engineers, and operations people in order to ensure the timely fulfillment of high value chemical offerings, requiring a significant ability to multitask, organize, communicate, and drive the process.
The successful candidate will join an existing team to collaborate and support product realizations, collecting and communicate data to support process improvements, provide support to process development teams, and collaborate with business teams to ensure valued new products are expeditiously delivered to our customers with all the safety and quality expectations commensurate with Air Products requirements.
Persons demonstrating strong collaboration / team work, self-motivation, good communication skills, creative problem solving ability, and strong observation and perception skills will excel in this role.

- B.S. degree in chemistry with greater than 5 years experience in a laboratory environment.
- Experience in organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and analytical chemistry a must.
- Preferred candidates will have demonstrated experience in various aspects of chemistry and engineering, including synthesis, analysis, process development, inventory management, raw materials sourcing, and continuous improvement / process optimization roles.
- Additionally of benefit are a familiarity with engineering unit operations and being mechanically inclined. Experience in Electronics, Pharmaceutical, or other related high-value and stringent quality requirement industries a significant advantage.
