Job Description

Functioning very independently and under the very general direction of the PI, the Research (Clinical) Specialist performs high-level clinical evaluations and diagnostic decisions. On a regular basis, contributes to screening and clinically characterizing study participants for behavioral and neuroimaging studies with a focus on major depression.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs clinical assessments using structured clinical interviews (e.g., SCID, HRSD) and other diagnostic tools for studies on depression, anxiety and stress-related disorders

Ensures ongoing recruitment of study participants; monitors the day-to-day implementation of the studies and troubleshoots problems as needed

Organizes and maintains clinical databases.

Regularly trains and oversees the work of others in clinical procedures.


Master's degree in public health, psychology or a human services related field, advanced degree (e.g., PsyD) a plus.Five or more years of prior direct research experience, particularly with diagnostic tools and assessments.

Conditions of Employment

Employment at McLean Hospital is contingent upon a successful CORI (Criminal Background Check), National Background Check and clearance from the Occupational Health Department.
