This Administrative Support Specialist reports directly to the Program Director for the Nurse Anesthesia Program, but collaborates regularly with faculty, staff, students, and other professionals. This position will serve as the administrative assistant for the nurse anesthesia program (NAP) within the Department of Graduate Nursing Science. This includes serving as assistant to the Program Director (50%), serving as administrative assistant to the faculty (25%), and serving as administrative assistant for the program functions (25%). Duties of the administrative assistant are those things done for the program as a whole, primarily administrative functions such as preparing annual reports for external organizations, bi-annual reports for state associations, annual reports for Board of Nursing, preparing documents in support of annual federal funding grants, preparing the annual newsletter, and preparing all National Certification and Graduation documents with appropriate seals.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.

Salary Grade Equivalent: 61 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
