Perform refuse collection and transport duties and activities utilizing a side load truck; maintain assigned collection equipment and perform a variety of other related duties in support of the Solid Waste Department.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
WorkKeys Assessment Scores: Reading for Information with a minimum score of Level 3; Locating Information with a minimum score of Level 3 and Workplace Observation with a minimum score of Level 2 plus three (3) years professional driving experience which requires the possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL); class A or B. Coursework in automotive technology, transportation technology or truck driving desirable. Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six 6 months from date of hire. Trainees must successfully complete both classroom and on the job training (OJT) instruction for refuse collection service. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
This is a safety sensitive position and requires a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and random drug/alcohol testing. Position requires: Background check, CDL Physical.
