Job Duties and Responsibilities:
(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)
  • Provides guests with service by acknowledging and welcoming guests entering the casino and restaurant areas, explaining wait list procedure if necessary, seating guests, responding to guest requests, paging server to inform of guests presence, collecting and processing bill payment, and returning change if applicable, following established procedures. - 60%
  • Promotes guest relations by acknowledging guests, answering phone, paging guests on wait list, offering appropriate information, menu knowledge, knowledge of up to date promotional contests, giveaways, concerts, providing related assistance, and treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner. - 10%
  • Provides accounting of transactions during shift by entering cash transactions in to point of sale system, counting currency, logging guest discounts, vouchers, VIP points and credit cards on to cashier drop work sheet, balancing money drawer against generated cashier report following established procedures, and reporting discrepancies to the food services management team. - 10%
  • Ensures Beverage alcohol polices are followed by asking for proper identification for all guests appearing to be under the age of 30 entering the bar area and not allowing any beverage except water to exit the restaurant. - 10%
  • Maintains safe and sanitary dining areas by keeping immediate area in order, and in the absence of a bus person, cleaning surface areas, picking up used plates, cups and utensils, disposing of trash, wiping down tables and resetting tables. - 5%
  • Ensures restaurant cashier stations are stocked and clean by wiping down all menus, replacing menu inserts when needed, inventorying all pagers daily, notifying any discrepancies to management, stocking supplies for the cashier station, when necessary rolling silverware, setting tables, and maintaining cashier stations according to established procedures. - 5%
