Take responsibility for the development and maintenance of the Educational Resource Center's (ERC) retention programs and for the support of outreach efforts to students, faculty and staff at Boston University. Meet regularly with students in one-on-one and group settings to help them develop their study and writing skills. Work closely with the ERC staff, specifically the ERC Associate Director and ERC Assistant Director for Mentoring and Outreach in developing and delivering a wide variety of academic support programs and workshops, especially those targeted to support international students and non-native speakers of English. Research and develop online academic support resources.
B.A./B.S., Masters degree preferred, strong writing, organizational, communication, public speaking, and analytical skills, attention to detail, timeliness, the ability to take initiative, and demonstrated success in working both independently and collaboratively, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media platforms and other web-based applications, and one to three years of experience leading, training, and team-building with college-age young people are preferred.
