The RF/Analog Mixed Signal IC Layout Designer is responsible for completing the physical design of wireless IC’s in a timely manner meeting specific design requirements with minimal assistance. Responsible for taking the physical design from schematic through physical verification and tape-out.
Experience in the layout of RF and analog IC designs is required. Experience with Cadence Virtuoso/XL & Composer, parasitic extraction and layout verification (Dracula or Calibre) including DRC, LVS, ERC is also required. Must have Custom Analog, RF & Digital layout skills and be able to work at the cell, block and chip level. Must have solid knowledge of device matching issues and good analog/RF layout techniques. Additional responsibilities and qualifications include:
•Layout of RF and mixed-signal integrated circuit (IC) components from schematics, diagrams or netlists utilizing SOI, CMOS and RF CMOS technologies in accordance with design rules.
•Directly interfacing with the IC design engineers to produce and optimize layouts for size and performance.
•Establish and meet project objectives and milestones.
•Associates Degree or higher in CAD or engineering discipline; or equivalent experience. 6 years previous experience preferred.
•Ability to adapt quickly to change and work in a rapidly changing environment.
•A solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing.
•Ability to coordinate and resolve issues with engineering groups.
•Ability to work within schedule constraints and maintain high quality standards.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with multiple groups.
•Must be detail oriented with strong customer service skills.
