Dollar General’s Risk Management Analyst, while reporting to the Risk Management Technical Services Manager, will be responsible for Captive Insurance reporting , all state reporting, and actuarial reporting. The Risk Management Analyst will generate analytical and statistical data in order to make recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiencies and effectiveness of the department's operations. The Analyst will also assist with implementation and maintenance of new claims system and other technical issues as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assists with maintaining new claims system functionality and provides other technical support as needed. Troubleshoots and resolves technical systems issues.

Completes all state reporting as well as monthly/quarterly SOX, Captive Insurance, and actuarial reporting. Coordinates weekly check runs and other scheduled processes.

Assists in the development of metrics, reports and summary analyses for appropriate application of risk management strategies and resources in order to minimize claims frequency and severity. Researches and pulls data, draws conclusions, and creates summaries of information.
Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of computer systems with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
·
Ability to work independently and prioritize.
·
Excellent analytical skills to interpret statistical data.
·
Communication skills to make effective oral and written presentations
·
Ability to develop partnerships within and outside the department to accomplish company goals and objectives.
Work Experience and/or Education
·


Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science preferred.
·
Two to three years of claims/claims systems and reporting experience preferred.
Compensation will consist of a competitive salary based on your experience, with bonus potential.
