The purpose of this position is to provide software enhancements through support and management. This is accomplished with knowledge of the software development life cycle and project management. Knowledge in the use of the RITE Toll Collection Software is required. Other duties include reviewing requirements and design documents, coordination of testing, quality assurance, and writing project documentation.

Responsibilities:
Organize, prioritize, review and develop documentation for enhancement requests for the RITE Toll Collection Software. Manage enhancements and projects by working with user groups, identifying needs, translating needs to requirements, documenting requirements, coordinating version releases, and maintaining records. Tests applications by coordinating testing and checks, working with users, ensuring all systems and/or functions are restored, and informing users when systems are released. Coordinates consultant work by ensuring work complies with goals and objectives, prioritizing tasks and assisting with coordination, and translates language between end users and subject matter experts so each comprehend desired outcome and development needs. Schedule and coordinate software training/communications prior to implementation for minimal impacts to end users and customers.

Qualifications:
Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with a two year associate's degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school. Appropriate certification may be awarded upon satisfactory completion of advanced study or training. Work requires functioning as a lead worker performing essentially the same work as those directed, and includes overseeing work quality, training, instructing, and scheduling work. Work may require providing advice to others outside direct reporting relationships on specific problems or general policies. Contacts may require the consideration of different points of view to reach agreement. Elements of persuasion may be necessary to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas. Receives Limited Direction : The employee normally performs the duty assignment according to his or her own judgment, requesting supervisory assistance only when necessary. The assignment may be reviewed upon completion. Performance is reviewed periodically. Skilled: Work requires a comprehensive, practical knowledge of a technical field with use of analytical judgment and decision-making abilities appropriate to the work environment of the organization. Does research for budget documents; and compiles data for computer entry; enters or oversees data entry. Has responsibility for monitoring budget expenditures (typically non-discretionary expenditures) for a work unit of less than a department size, i.e. program, projects, or small organizational units. Intermediate - Ability to read papers, periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in high school up to college. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study. Intermediate - Ability to deal with system of real numbers; practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios/proportions and measurement. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in high school up to college. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study. Advanced - Ability to write editorials, journals, speeches, manuals, or critiques. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in at the college level or above. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study. Valid driver's license. Intermediate - Work requires project management, delivering results across a timeline, within budget.
