The Medical Day Program RN for Gallagher Services will provide regulatory oversight, coordination, and monitoring of health services for participants in the Medical Day Program. This position supervises a medical clerk, reports to the Medical Day Program Manager, and may provide medical care to participants in other Gallagher Day Programs on a case-by-case basis. Duties include directing the medical care provided during program hours, acting as delegating nurse, observing and monitoring participant's conditions, administering or supervising medication administration, providing first aid as needed and compiling/auditing medical charts in accordance with programmatic and regulatory guidelines. Supervises the Medical Clerk and provides staff training on work-related medical issues. Develops, implements and reviews policies and procedures for medically-related issues. Coordinates the development and ongoing review of participants' Plans of Care, attends treatment team meetings, and acts as a liaison with the Medical Director as needed. Advocates for the well-being of program participants, provides them with opportunities for learning appropriate self-care, maintains confidentiality and promotes individual rights of participants in keeping with the mission and values of the program and Agency. Administers any required inoculations for staff such as PPD and Hep B.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing required. BA in nursing preferred. Current license as an RN in the state of Maryland and at least 3 years experience in a health care setting are required. Must possess current First Aid and CPR certification and the ability to perform CPR.
