The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for the delivery of safe patient care, utilizing the nursing process. The RN assesses, plans, delivers, coordinates, integrates, and evaluates nursing care related to patient needs. The RN contributes to the support of patients through interdisciplinary teamwork and assures that the care provided is consistent with applicable standards, regulations, statutes and state and federal law.
- Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma Professional Nursing program is required
- NYS licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse or valid interim permit is required (RN I)
- BLS certification must be obtained within 6 months from date of hire
