This position is located within System Services and supports Exempla Healthcares Human Resources Department through delivery of specialized occupational health services to the Exempla workforce. Employee Health clinics are located at each of the three Exempla hospitals. Services provided meet the regulatory requirements of: WC, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, CMS, and other local and governmental entities. Records are maintained for each employee that documents compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Provide quality and compassionate patient care, and administrative support to Exemplas workforce.
Case management of workers compensation injuries from triage of initial injuries to closure of WC case; manage temporary light duty work assignments throughout the WC process; coordinate workers compensation benefits through Exemplas Third Party Administrator; maintenance of records to comply with the WC statute and Exempla business needs.
Implement compliance related programs: Immunizations; Respirator-fit-testing; Hazardous Drug Surveillance; TB testing; Annual influenza immunization program, etc.
Implement the pre-employment screening program for new hires to determine fitness-for-duty. Conduct PPE screenings; venipunctures; WC background checks; other tasks as required in the PPE process.
Evaluate employees returning from medical leaves of absence to ensure employee is fit-for-duty and return to work.
Develop and maintain reports to track and trend occurrence data; participation rates; OSHA 300 logs and other statutory reporting requirements; create ad-hoc reports as requested by leaders or managers.
Collaborate with managers and supervisors throughout the organization to ensure HR and EOHS protocols are applied correctly and consistently throughout the organization.
Participate in multiple committees; attend meetings; support the Business Partners with the interactive process; develop processes to streamline operations, etc.
Coordinates fitness for duty evaluations that comply with EEOC and ADA guidelines
Evaluates and manages exposures to blood-borne pathogens in accordance with CDC guidelines
Coordinates worksite evaluations and the purchase of ergonomic equipment
Manages and collects drug screens for the pre-employment and for cause programs.
