Is responsible for the timely provision of return-to-work (RTW) case management services provided by the Occupational Health Program. Maintaining a high level of satisfaction with Workforce Safety & Insurance (WSI) in the provision of these services is a key component of this position. Performs work activities in accordance with the mission, vision, values and philosophies of St. Alexius Medical Center.
Education: Registered Nurse
Licensure: Clinical license required to practice as determined by state law.
Experience: 5 years as a health care professional preferred. Previous Occupational Health experience preferred.
Skills: Ability to operate computers and enter data. Ability to multi task and change direction and plans during the day as circumstances change. Ability to independently problem solve and make decisions.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong listening, oral and written communication skills are important. The ability to manage conflict effectively and develop interdependent and positive interpersonal relationships with
others, both within the department and with staff in other departments.
Physical Effort: Medium. Requires the ability to walk and move around the department and medical center at 3.5 mph with maximum lifting at 50 pounds.
Hours of Work: Variable. Department hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be able to stay after scheduled work time and have a backup plan in place which will allow work beyond the scheduled work
time to account for unexpected situations or work load.
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Other: Licensed to drive and has a vehicle available in the event work related driving is necessary
(examples include off site testing and contracted events). Potential for exposure to mechanical, chemical, biological, infectious and/or other environmental hazards.
