Assists in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating activities of designated units/services. Provides oversight in assigned department and manages day to day operations. Manages staff and assists in development and administration of departmental hospital policies, rules and regulations. Coaches and facilitates patient work teams to perform multifunctional patient care duties. Develops positive working relationships with physicians and supporting clinical departments.
1. Education and Training
Three (3) to five (5) years of related professional nursing experience which demonstrates clinical expertise and leadership abilities. Management experience preferred. BLS and ACLS required (ACLS not required for Hudson Specialty Center); PALS required for Urgent Care, ED and ICU within 6 months of hire.
Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio. BSN required.
3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
Excellent communication and organizational skills needed. Working knowledge of personal computers and data base programs. Certification in specialty area may be required within two years of entering role based on department.
