The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of assigned patients.
QUALIFICATIONS: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification; ACLS, PALS certifications or obtain within 6 months of employment; TNCC and ENPC within one (1) year of employment.
Carteret County General Hospital Emergency Department is a progressive 13 bed ED with a 6 bed fast track that has an approximate volume of 45,000 patients per year. The ED serves Carteret County's diverse patient population where there is an important emphasis placed on community and personal healthcare. Opportunities for education include TNCC and ENPC (Required within one year of employment) and CEN certifications. Shared governance and encouraged individual contribution promote a team-focused environment supported by leadership. The typical patient to nurse ratio is 3 to 1.
