To deliver quality care to both psychiatric and chemically dependent adult, geriatric and child/adolescent patients. Various shifts available by:

Assessing patients through a systematic process of interacting with patient, the patient’s significant others, and the appropriate health care providers.

Administering medications in a safe, accurate, and timely manner utilizing the “Five Rights” of medication administration.

Collecting and analyzing data regarding the patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and anticipated discharge planning needs.

Determining patients’ alcohol or drug toxicity and identify signs of withdrawal.

Developing a comprehensive outline of care and specific goals and interventions to be included in treatment planning.

Monitoring patients following nursing unit policies and procedures.

Communicating changes in patient’s condition or legal status with other unit personnel and attending physician.

Serving as back-up charge nurse for unit or shift, providing supervision of routine task assignments of RN’s, LPN’s and MHA’s.

Informing incoming shift of any changes or problems with patients to promote continuity of care.

Participating in hospital emergency codes necessary to the unit’s and the hospital’s safe operation.

Reviewing patients records for accuracy and ensure that treatment plan and progress notes clearly reflect progress of patient and family.

Complying with safety and security policies and procedures, including those regarding incidents and injuries.


Applicant must hold a valid RN license from the state of Georgia.

Preferred Requirements:

- no less than one year of nursing experience.

- experience in a hospital setting

- Bilingual a plus
