PRIMARY DUTY: The RN Staff Nurse will provide patient care and education.
1. Provides direct patient care through history taking, assessment, and critical thinking skills 2. Provides health education for patients
3. Maintains and supports all clinic operations
4. Performs other duties as assigned
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or in the process of obtaining RN status (Must have passed licensure prior to start date)
Certification/License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Missouri
Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to function autonomously as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment; commitment to excellence in all aspects of care delivery; leadership skills
Experience: Two years clinic and/or college health experience

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position will work in a clinic setting that is a modern and well-equipped facility. This position will work the 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour lunch break.
EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS USED: Electronic medical records, microscope, computer, nebulizer, spirometer, copier and fax (this list is not inclusive)
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to move quickly; ability to lift heavy boxes up to 50 pounds and lift patients as needed; must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
